When Covers Were For Art

They just don't make magazine covers like they used to. Back then they used to be actual pieces of commissioned art by famous artists. Now they are filled with airbrushed photos of impossibly perfect people with words all over the images. (These images are all courtesy of The Pictorial Arts blog by Thomas Haller Buchanan.)

I also want to thanks all the wonderful comments I received yesterday wishing me a speedy recovery. I am feeling much better this morning after a good nights sleep.

The first cover is by Erte - one of my favorite art nouveau artists.
