I have no idea what Antikamnia means but I love the images and thought that they would be fabulous to use for some spooky Halloween art.

These are great Val! FYI : this was a turn of the century pain remedy, often mixed with cocaine and quinine, often lethal to it's takers!! It means " opposed to pain"....
I've always lived old advertising....
Great images for Halloween!

They are quite spooky and rather bizarre, but absolutely fantastic! I was so intrigued by the strange name, I googled it, and there is a surprising amount of info on this company.

Louis Crucius' art work is delightful, it's just a shame it had to be associated with the Antikamnia Drug Company. The name means "opposed to pain". From what I have read the company's drug was made with codeine and quinine and made many unsuspecting patients addicts, including small children. But I still love his Crucius' drawings, they are great for Day of the Dead themed stuff. Thanks for letting me learn something today.

Delightful. Too bad companies now a days aren't so honest and humorous about their products. Bayer immediately comes to mind !
